Liquid Adventures is a new name for the most experienced kayak school in the Washington, DC area. For over 30 years on the Potomac River, we have been developing paddlers of every skill level.

In DC, you are never far from the Potomac River. In a few minutes you can be away from the city, fully immersed in an all-natural environment.  In classes, workouts, and trips you can expand your experience, progress your skills, and gain in confidence. 

Our many top instructors are your friends to help you on and off the water.  Whatever your current skill level, you can expect the same outstanding instruction, depth of experience and sheer enthusiasm in every lesson or trip.  We hope to set you on a path to a lifetime of healthy outdoor recreation.

Every Saturday and Sunday, LAKS offers beginner kayak instruction on the Potomac River. Lessons will set you on a clear path toward learning to paddle and provide you with a solid foundation of skills and safety training. It all adds up to an afternoon or a lifetime of fun on the river - take it as you'd like it.
