Philosophy

As careful as we all try to be on the water, eventually we or someone we paddle with will get injured on the water. It is important to be prepared for the eventuality. A saying I grew up with was, “I would rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it”. The ‘it’ in this instance is knowledge. You have taken the time to learn to paddle, take the time to learn how to take care of yourselves and others.

 

 

Overview

This Wilderness 1st Aid and CPR course will expose you to a way of thinking yourselves through emergency situations in the backcountry and some basic 1st aid techniques developed for these situations. At courses end you will have a certification good for 2 years from WMI/NOLS in WFA/CPR, but more importantly you will have gained a body of knowledge. Our relationships with other reputable organizations in the outdoor industry enables us to bring you this course. Registration and Cancellation

Please go to the registration page to on our website to secure your spot in the class. Due to the anticipated demand for the class payment is due upon registration to secure your spot in the class. Cancellation before February 28th will receive a full refund less a $25 handling fee. No refunds for cancellations/no shows will be issued after March 1st. In the event we need to cancel for whatever reason a full refund will be provided.
